How to Trade

I only trade according to the Trade Principles. See bottom of the blog.

These principles are designed to increase the chance on success, to maximize profit and to limit the extent of loss. Remember, not every trade will be a winner, therefore one needs to adhere to the stoploss religiously.

Trend Trading
The methodology for determining entry points and stoplosses is well defined in the Trend Trade Principles. Whenever there is a specific trend trade opportunity it will be mentioned in the Daily Updates and/or the Trend Trades section. The exit points for Intermediate Term and Long Term Trading are the 8 and 13 DEMA and the 8 and 13 WEMA reversal crosses respectively. The exit point for Short Term Trading is any profit you might deem sufficient. I almost never wait for the 8 and 13 HEMA reversal cross.

Opportunities for trend trading are mostly abundant.

I found the success rate for this kind of trading in the 55%-65% range. The fact that the losses on the 45%-35% chance of failure are much smaller, due to tight stoplosses, than the profits on the 55%-65% chance of success makes trend trading profitable.

Stochastic Trading
The entry points, stoplosses and exit points are well defined in the stochastic trade setups I provide. They will also be mentioned in the Daily Updates and/or the Stochastic Trades section.

Opportunities for stochastic trading unfortunately are few and far between.

I found the success rate for this kind of trading in the 75%-85% range. Usually both losses and profits are much smaller here.
